Apprenticeship in

automotive glazing

An Auto-Glazing Apprenticeship provides a dynamic and highly skilled opportunity to start a career within the auto-glazing industry.  Apprenticeships also provide a cost-effective way for businesses to invest in skills for the future, as a way of growing and succession planning.

The Automotive Glazing Academy manages the Auto-Glazing Apprenticeship on behalf of employers, from recruitment to completion.

Auto-glazing apprentices receive all the relevant windscreen and vehicle glazing training, so they can begin to make a real contribution as soon as possible. An Apprenticeship involves vocational training, which means an apprentice can earn while they learn, usually with a salary of at least £110 per week. The extra responsibility from being an employee makes an apprentice feel more valued, which improves loyalty.

Our quality promise

The Automotive Glazing Academy is committed to making the Auto-Glazing Apprenticeship benefit both the individual and the employer.

We make sure we fully understand your objectives and requirements before beginning the process of selecting the right person for your business. All applicants go through a rigorous selection process to gauge their technical aptitude and suitability. This includes a series of tests before applicants are offered an interview with an employer.

AGA supports the individual and employer every step of the way – that’s our promise of quality delivery. We assist with finding and interviewing apprentices and creating a training programme that meets both their needs the employer’s. Once taken on as an employee, one of our team of experienced auto-glazing assessors will visit the workplace to monitor progress of the apprentice, observe specific tasks being done and plan future training.
